What To Expect

 

Day 01. Nairobi

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met and assisted by our representative. Transfer to the hotel. If you arrive in the afternoon, you will be transferred directly to the hotel for overnight. If you arrive in the morning, you will have free time to rest all day or do optional excursions in Nairobi. Those excursions will be offered depending on different flight arrival timings. Optional excursions offered are; Visit to the Karen Blixen Museum (Out of Africa), Mama Tunza Children’s Orphanage, Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Centre, National Museum, handcraft Centre and shopping in Utamaduni, Nairobi National Park…etc. (At your own cost)

Day 02. Amboseli

Breakfast at the Hotel. Drive to Amboseli National Park. On the way, we can make a technical stop over at the Kamba Craft Workshop. We will arrive to Amboseli at midday. Lunch at the Lodge. In the afternoon, we will depart for an afternoon game drive until sunset. Amboseli National Park is located under the most famous symbol of Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro; it is a park that covers a total area of 392 km2, situated south of Nairobi. When the weather is clear, during our game drive, we will be able to view the wonderful panorama of the Highest Mountain in Africa, with its height of 5,896 meters. The mountain waters feed the seasonal swamps that feed the animals and birds that live in the park. With its scenic beauty and its magical light; it is here where photographers wait to capture the classic photos of the African elephant or the giraffe standing against the backdrop of the snow-capped mountain.

Day 03. Amboseli

Full day in Amboseli dedicated to morning and afternoon game drives in search of big herds of Elephants, Buffalos, Lions, etc. In the afternoon you will climb to the Kilimanjaro viewpoint to admire the wonderful views of the mountain and the park. Meals and overnight at the lodge

 

Day 04. Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, we will drive to Naivasha. We will arrive to Naivasha before time for lunch. Naivasha is the highest Lake of the Rift Valley located at an altitude of 1890 meters above sea level. This lake is a combination of volcanic rocks and sedimentary deposits. It has a length of 139 square kilometers. It is home to a population of more than 400 birds species and has a large population of Hippos. Part of the Movie “Out of Africa”was filmed in this area. We will enjoy the magnificent facilities, gardens, swimming pool and outdoor areas of the Lodge, the beautiful views of the Lake as the lodge has fantastic views full of resident wildlife such as Giraffes, Zebras and Gazelles. In the afternoon you have included a boat ride that will enable you to see colonies of hippopotamuses, the fishing eagles in action, marabou stork, crocodiles, etc. Later you will be able to return to the lodge or optionally you can choose to go to crescent Island which is situated at the middle of the Lake. Here you will be able to view wild animals that permanently live here like wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, warthogs. We will disembark with a local guide and will continue trekking on foot through this Island that is located at the heart of the Lake, walking at our pace around this incredible place. This will give you a chance to see and photograph the animals that reside here.

Day 05. Maasai Mara

Depart and drive to Maasai Mara Game Reserve, one of the best game viewing game reserves in the world with plenty of animals. Hundreds of thousands of animals, mainly herbivores, which attract a great number of predators and scavengers, roam at its widest along the hills and the plains plenty of game attracted by its magnificent pastures and permanent waters. In the afternoon, depart for another game drive until sunset.

Day 06. Maasai Mara.

Full day in Maasai Mara dedicated to the morning and afternoon game drives. There is so much flexibility in the program. You will agree with our professional driver/guide on your timings. You will have a chance to visit different areas of this beautiful game reserve like Paradise plain, meta Plains, burrungant plains and the rest for the safari areas like the “crossing points of the Mara river” Our professional guides will advise on the best places for capturing the GREAT MIGRATION. There is an optional possibility of doing a full day game drive with picnic lunches to be able to go further in the plains in search of animals.

Day 07. Maasai Mara / Nairobi /International Departure

After breakfast, you will return back to Nairobi by road. On arrival to Nairobi, lunch will be included at the Carnivore restaurant. Optional activities like visit to Karen Blixen Museum can be done this afternoon. You can substitute the Carnivore by doing a morning game drive in Maasai Mara and depart for Nairobi in the afternoon. Lunch will be at the Lodge. After lunch, drive back to Nairobi. Arrive to Nairobi in time for your international departure flight. Most of the international flights depart Nairobi as from 22.45 hours onwards. With at least 03 hours or 03 ½ hours, transfer to the Jomo Kenyatta international Airport for your departure flight with schedule to be determined by the flight booked. The last day can be fully adjusted to suit your flights and schedule. It is recommended to book an afternoon/evening or early morning international departure flights.
